Well It's Saturday night You're all dressed up in blue I been watching you awhile Maybe you been watching me too So somebody ran out Left somebody's heart in a mess Well if you're looking for love Honey I'm tougher than the rest Some girls they want a Handsome Dan Or some good-lookin' Joe On their arm some girls like a sweet-talkin' Romeo Well 'round here baby I learned you get what you can get So if you're rough enough for love Honey I'm tougher than the rest The road is dark And it's a thin thin line But I want you to know I'll walk it for you any time Maybe your other boyfriends Couldn't pass the test Well if you're rough and ready for love Honey I'm tougher than the rest The road is dark And it's a thin thin line But I want you to know I'll walk it for you any time Maybe your other boyfriends Couldn't pass the test Well if you're rough and ready for love Honey I'm tougher than the rest Well it ain't no secret I've been around a time or two Well I don't know baby maybe you've been around too Well there's another dance All you gotta do is say yes And if you're rough and ready for love Honey I'm tougher than the rest If you're rough enough for love Baby I'm tougher than the rest

I will try to be the person that you see when you close your eyes Wrap my heart in shades of gold, a love that's bold with no compromise When my life is out of tune I look over my shoulder and I see you When my life is out of tune I look over my shoulder and I see you

about

Oh man, what even.

So a while ago, I was asked to organize a show/play a show which, due to personal life upheaval, general laziness, and my propensity for procrastination I did not organize a band or have any fucking clue what to do until, in a decidedly (usual) desperate fashion I decided to just write six songs around a cowboy themed concept.

Rehearsals began about a week and a half before the show, with good friend Nick Eng on drums.

It was decided that it should become this general art bullshit thing where we would only play the songs the once (There is a heavy chance I will throw Mystic of the Hills into sets though because I love that song) and record/release it.

We did a rehearsal take about an hour before the show then recorded live at the show as well (THIS ONE(both straight to tape)), what resulted was, well, Live everything got totally fucked.
Guitar? Fucked.
Other bands guitar? Fucked.
His Hair? WACK.
His Gear? WACK.
His Jewelry? WACK.
His foot-stance? WACK.
The way that he talks? WACK.
The way that he doesn't even like to smile? WACK.
Me? I'm tight as FUCK.

(ANYWAY)
I realized I really liked the fact that the guitar was mostly out of tune, the improv was way different live, my voice breaks, whatever. So now the (f)art concept is one between INTENTION vs EXECUTION. Whatever the fuck that means ok.

Last, here's the story (addtl details in the trax).
Turpentine Tom is a good ol' cowboy livin' in the town of Tres Alamos with many affections in his heart. Handsome Dan, the local rustler, doesn't take too kindly to his type and strands him out in the desert to die. Tom, through sheer will, drags himself across the desert sands to a hillside cave where a Hill Mystic resides. The Mystic nurses Tom back to health and teaches him how to shoot with The Eye of the Spirits.
Tom spends time in the desert, riding, shooting, and gaining his strength before dressing himself as in the visage of death and re-entering Tres Alamos to confront Handsome Dan and his gang.
After the shootout, Tom makes his way to the saloon and embraces his pard.
